New York Providers for Equitable and Transparent Reimbursement (PETR) Coalition. PETR aims to bring together stakeholders to champion bills that promote transparent communication and fair policies between insurance companies and providers, as well as reasonable and equitable reimbursement policies.

Executive Director

Catherine (Katie) Brown, MS, RDN, CDN, LDN

Extensive leadership and advocacy experience. Katie is currently Clinical Lead and Co-Founder of Flourish Nutrition, a growing private practice of specialty-care dietitians. Volunteers with the New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and held positions including President, Public Policy Coordinator, and Nutrition Reimbursement Payment Specialist. Involved in Public Policy with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Dietitians for Healthier America.

Founding Board Member

April Ho, RDN, CDN, CPT

April is currently the Lead Dietitian at the University of Rochester Center for Community Health and Prevention. She also volunteers as the Public Policy Coordinator for the New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and serves on the Advisory Council for the New York State Food as Medicine Coalition. Through her career and volunteer work, April aims to create and advance nutrition-related programs and policies that increase access to patient centered healthcare and good nutrition in her community and beyond.

Board Member

Jessica Dmitrova, BS

Jess will be graduating Spring 2026 with a Master's in Clinical Nutrition from the University at Buffalo. After obtaining her RDN, she plans to build her career in Dietetics with a focus on 1-on-1 patient care while developing a specialization. She is passionate about making a meaningful difference in nutrition and hopes to help create more agency for Dietitians in their practices.
